Ceremony

2x cams / 24 fps / Record external audio

Stay behind the parents except for during the processional.

Don’t stop recording during the ceremony, unless batteries need to be changed.

Details:

Candles, chairs, solar flares, flowers, brochures, capture the space. Good foreground is key.

Guests:

After my Bcam is in place and sound is running, I’ll walk up and down the aisle capturing candids of people entering and hugging. After I get a few candids, I’ll wave at people and point at my camera- they usually wave back.

Processional:

Standing at the top of the aisle will allow you to capture all of the processional as well as the groom’s reaction to the bride.

Center aisle:

Be in center aisle for the majority of the ceremony. If the photographer asks you to move, so they can get a wide shot, that’s fine because you have a BCAM rolling.

Walking out:

In addition to getting shots of the couple, get close ups of guests/bridal party having fun.

Guest Hugs:

Directly after the ceremony, there is a rush of love in the air. You may be tempted to join the photographers in family photos but don’t do it! Instead, get shots of guests hugging/laughing.
